I've been DJing for over 20 years. My love of music started as a kid, when I realised I couldn't sing. I grew up on my dad's music - Elvis, Buddy Holly and rock 'n' roll classics - while my older brothers were in their 20s for the 70s disco era. I made it through the 80s as an awkward teenager, then practically lived in nightclubs through the 90s and 2000s, where I fell in love with dance music. Still do.
My job is simple: read the room and get the right song on at the right time. Chilled acoustic covers of songs everyone knows while guests arrive and eat, then I lift the tempo when it's time to hit the dance floor. Golden rule: don't play all the good ones too early, or there's nowhere to go. I'll also run the speeches, the games, and the "one more song" negotiations.

$300 for a 2-hour gig, then $125 for each extra hour.

You only pay while I'm DJing. Setup and pack-down are free. Longer events, just ask.
Venues more than 45 minutes from Geelong have a small travel fee, which I'll include in your quote.
